Distribution during the Pandemic

In her article, Distribution keeps business churning, Amy Rush-Imber from Floor Covering Weekly, interviews Kevin Gammonley, the Executive Vice President of the North American Association of Floor Covering Distributors (NAFCD), to look into the impact that the current pandemic has had on the state of the flooring marketplace.

The flooring industry has been greatly impacted as a whole by the COVID-19 pandemic, which has caused a downturn in distributors’ business. The depth of the impact has varied on a state-by-state level, with the highest impact seen in the Northeast and Midwest regions. Supply chain has been affected with delays in material from manufacturing plants. Throughout this disruption, the NAFCD has put in place systems including webinars, video series, reports and analysis, as well as holding virtual town halls to give distriutors transparency on the ever changing situation as well as a unique way to connect with eachother, to navigate these new set of challenges.
